We know that developing a confident young artist takes more than just a few classes. With consistent guidance, inspiration, and a supportive environment, seasonal art classes for kids can become a powerful foundation for creativity and personal growth.
In a world that’s changing faster than ever, we believe every child benefits from real, hands-on art education. Through drawing, painting, and creative exploration, students build imagination, creative thinking, and essential artistic skills that remain valuable far beyond the classroom.
That’s why we’ve created a thoughtfully designed Spring–Summer 2026 art program for children ages 4 and up. This seasonal program supports students at every level—from beginners to more experienced young artists—helping them strengthen technical skills, refine artistic taste, and grow confidence in their creative abilities.
Throughout the Spring–Summer 2026 season, students participate in a structured series of creative cycles, each focused on a specific artistic theme or technique. Our art classes in Charlotte / Matthews emphasize progress, enjoyment, and meaningful creative development in a calm and encouraging studio environment.
We are proud not only of the beautiful artwork our students create, but also of the recognition they receive during the season. Children earn certificates of achievement, take part in art exhibitions, and may have their work submitted to local or national art competitions.
By the end of the Spring–Summer 2026 season, your child will have completed:
Multiple unique creative cycles
Seasonal art exhibitions
Applications for participation in local or national art competitions
Let’s grow together – brush by brush, idea by idea!
Here’s what your child will be learning this season:
1. Theme: Ocean Magic – Drops, Waves, and Light
Methods: Acrylic and Watercolor
Immerse yourself in the shimmering world of the sea! In just a few sessions, children will learn how to paint waves, capture reflections on the water, and capture the magic of light in motion. The perfect introduction to art!
2. Theme: Autumn Still Life – Form and Light
Methods: Pencil Drawing and Acrylic Painting
We’ll learn how to create forms, create balance in a composition, and convey light, shadow, and midtones. This beautiful and classic theme will teach children to truly “see” objects and recreate them with confidence.
3. Theme: Light and Color Transitions
Method: Watercolor
How do you paint the glow of a sunset or the soft glow of a lantern? In this series, students will learn how to mix colors, create transparent layers, and use shadows to convey mood and atmosphere.
4. Topic: Magical Landscapes — Winter Edition
Techniques: Acrylic Painting and Palette Knife
Winter landscapes are some of the most stunning paintings an artist can create, and your child can handle this challenge! Using brushes and palette knives, we will transform blank canvases into frosty, fairytale landscapes.
5. Topic: How to Draw a Kitten?!
Techniques: Acrylic, Oil Pastel, Markers, Pencil
Capturing the charm of a beloved pet is an important milestone for any young artist. Step by step, we will guide children from a sketch to a full-color masterpiece, helping them convey the texture, expression, and character of the animal. Get ready to be amazed!
6. Topic: Flowers and Color Harmony
Technique: Watercolor
We love the soft yet vibrant tones of watercolor, and in this series, we will try to reveal their potential! Children will explore stylish color combinations, learn which tones work well together (and which to avoid), and create a bouquet of vibrant floral art pieces.
7. Topic: The Human Figure – From Sketch to Masterpiece
Method: Pencil Drawing
Drawing people is a challenging task, but not when you have a solid foundation! This series introduces proportion, form, and basic anatomy. Our tutors will help your child feel confident and proud as they create their first portrait or figure drawing.
8. Topic: Advanced Form and Light – People and Objects
Method: Pencil and Acrylic
It’s time to put it all together! Students will combine their drawing and painting skills to explore complex shapes, deep shadows, and expressive compositions while refining their individual style.
9. Theme: Texture Close-Up – Gallery Finale
Mechanism: Acrylic
It’s time to zoom in and focus on the finest details! From soft fur and tree bark to folds of fabric and stone surfaces, kids will learn how to create rich textures that beg to be touched. This unique piece will be the pride of your child’s home gallery!
