Private Painting Lessons in Charlotte, NC
In a group class, a teacher divides attention between ten students. In a private lesson, your child gets all of it. That is the entire difference — and it shows up fast, usually within the first two or three sessions.
Each lesson runs a full 60 minutes in our Charlotte studio, one student and one instructor, with everything provided.
Who these lessons are for
Ages 4–6. The first meeting with real paint. We work on holding a brush, mixing color, filling a canvas without fear of “doing it wrong.” Short, playful, and built around what the child already likes to draw.
Ages 7–10. Technique starts here — composition, color mixing, working with acrylics on canvas. This is the age where a private lesson makes the biggest difference: a child who is shy in a group will try things one-on-one that they’d never attempt in front of classmates.
Ages 10–14. Serious work. Studying from reference, building a personal style, preparing pieces for competitions or a portfolio. Some of our students have placed in their first competition after only a few months.
What a lesson looks like
The first session is a conversation as much as a lesson. The instructor sees what the student can already do, asks what they want to make, and starts there. From that point on, every lesson follows a plan built for that one student — not a curriculum they have to keep up with.
Students finish work they are proud of and take it home. Painting is the focus: acrylics, watercolor, and gouache on canvas and paper.
What’s included
Everything. Canvas, paints, brushes, palette, apron, and workspace are all part of the $65 lesson price — nothing to buy, nothing to bring. The finished painting goes home with the student.
Booking
Private lessons are booked one at a time by phone, which lets us find a slot that actually fits your week rather than locking you into a fixed weekly hour. Call +1 (803) 970-8000 to check availability and reserve a time.
Lessons are taught in English at our Charlotte studio.

After the trial class, your child won’t want to leave.

This is absolutely incredible to see my daughter progress and how much she loves these classes! Thank you guys, you are the best!!!
P.s. after the first lesson we left with a finished painting????
When we came to drawing lessons for the first time, we were surprised that he was able to draw a picture with acrylic paints. The teacher said that he has talent and if he wants, he can participate in competitions.
Today we received the result from the first competition???????????? in which his picture entered the top.
We are so grateful and proud of our son! Thank you Angelina and Leo!????
