Art Camp for children

Join Angel Art Academy’s weekly Art Camp in Matthews, NC—creative after-school art classes for kids near Charlotte and Mint Hill! Every Tuesday, 4:30–7:00 PM, starting November 3, 2026, our 2.5-hour drop-off program offers painting, drawing, air-dry clay pottery, and mural projects. $59 per child per week, billed as a weekly subscription, plus a one-time $29 sign-up fee. Please bring a water bottle and an optional snack; snacks and water are not provided.

Angel Art Academy’s weekly Art Camp gives children 2.5 hours to explore, experiment, and create while parents enjoy time to themselves. Our rotating program introduces different materials and techniques, encouraging creativity and helping children build artistic skills.

Activities may include:

• Painting with acrylics, watercolors, and oils.
• Drawing and sketching with pencils and other art materials.
• Pottery and sculpting with air-dry clay.
• Mural projects—learning how to plan a design and paint on designated studio wall surfaces.
• Mixed-media projects and other creative explorations.

Projects vary from week to week, giving children opportunities to try different art forms over time.

Angel Art Academy is such a peaceful and inspiring place. My kids absolutely love going there and are always excited for class. I’m honestly amazed by their artwork and how much their creativity has grown. The teachers are kind and create such a warm, positive atmosphere. We highly recommend this studio — it has a great atmosphere and kind, responsive, and talented teachers. Drawing, sculpting, and the newest clay classes.
After the trial class, your child won’t want to leave.

We recently celebrated my daughter’s birthday at this art school, and it was absolutely amazing! The staff did a fantastic job leading the creative activities and keeping the kids engaged. Everyone had so much fun painting and creating, and my daughter felt truly special. It was a joyful and memorable experience for all of us. Highly recommend for a unique and fun birthday celebration!

My children love to draw with a pencil, but they have never tried holding a brush in their hands. However, in just a few lessons, Angelina helped them love paints! We are expecting great results!

We recently took our child to a trial painting lesson at Art Angel school. It was great!! Thanks to Angelina for explaining everything to us very quickly and getting our child interested! We will definitely come again!????????

My son is 8 years old and he loves to draw with pencils and markers at home.
When we came to drawing lessons for the first time, we were surprised that he was able to draw a picture with acrylic paints. The teacher said that he has talent and if he wants, he can participate in competitions.
Today we received the result from the first competition???????????? in which his picture entered the top.
We are so grateful and proud of our son! Thank you Angelina and Leo!????
