1Who we are and what these terms cover

These Terms & Conditions govern website consultation bookings with Artangel LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”), through https://AngelArtAcademy.art. Contact us at angelartacademyclt@gmail.com, +1 (980) 535-5105, or 1312 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Matthews, NC 28105, United States.

The person making a booking must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into an agreement. If booking for a business or property owner, you confirm that you have authority to act for that party.

A website booking purchases the consultation-related services described below. It is not a contract for mural painting, an acceptance of a final project price, or a guarantee of a painting start date. Painting requires a separate written project agreement signed by both parties.

2Preliminary online estimates

Prices generated by our website are preliminary estimates based on the options and information you provide. They are not fixed quotations or binding offers to complete a mural for that amount.

Even when all options and measurements are entered correctly, the final quotation may be higher or lower than the online estimate. Differences of up to 30% may occur, and in less common cases the difference may exceed 30%. The 30% figure is not a maximum price adjustment or a guaranteed accuracy range. Incorrect selections, incomplete information, changed requirements, or site conditions may cause a larger difference.

The principal pricing factors are mural size and design complexity. Other factors may include surface preparation, height and access, scaffolding or lifts, specialty materials, travel, permits, restricted working hours, and expedited scheduling. We explain applicable charges in the written quotation. Any taxes and mandatory charges will be disclosed as required by law before you commit to the relevant purchase.

You may accept or decline the final quotation. Declining does not obligate you to purchase painting services. It does not, by itself, entitle you to a refund of a lawfully retained consultation fee. Nothing here permits misleading estimates, unauthorized charges, or withholding a refund required by law.

3Booking and appointment confirmation

Initial online inquiries are free. A detailed project consultation has a standard price of $150, credited toward the mural as described below. An initial free conversation is distinct from the paid assessment and written quotation service.

We confirm your project location, service format, and applicable payment requirements before requesting payment. Where law limits advance payments or requires a signed contract first, we reduce or defer the advance accordingly. No unlawful amount will be collected merely because the standard website price is $150.

We review the location, availability, and project information before confirming the appointment. An automated payment receipt is not confirmation of a particular visit time. Your appointment is confirmed in a separate written message. If we cannot accept your booking or offer a mutually acceptable appointment, we refund the $150 fee.

Provide accurate contact details, property address, approximate dimensions, design selections, photographs where requested, and known access or surface concerns. Notify us promptly if these change.

4Consultation scope, project credit, and refunds

Charlotte, North Carolina: The standard $150 service includes one agreed on-site consultation at a project address within Charlotte city limits. It includes measurements, visual surface assessment, design and scheduling discussion, and preparation of a written quotation and proposed project agreement. Charlotte metropolitan-area addresses outside the city limits are not automatically included. A visual review is not an engineering, structural, or environmental inspection.

Other U.S. locations: The standard $150 service includes one telephone or video consultation, review of client-supplied measurements and images, and preparation of a written quotation and proposed project agreement. An on-site visit is not included unless separately agreed in writing. Travel, accommodation, and any additional visit charges must be disclosed and accepted before being incurred or charged. The consultation format will be confirmed before payment; we will not substitute a remote service for an agreed included visit without your agreement.

Credit toward your mural: If you proceed with the quoted project, the consultation payment we retain is credited dollar-for-dollar against the agreed mural total. The estimate, project agreement, and invoice will show it as already paid, reducing the balance due. For example, a $3,000 total with $150 already paid leaves $2,850, before any separately agreed later changes. A refunded payment is not also credited. Additional travel charges and their credit treatment, if any, require a separate written agreement.

Cancellation before the consultation is completed: Contact us promptly. We refund the unearned balance. We may retain only the reasonable, documented value of separately authorized preparation actually performed and expressly preapproved, unavoidable third-party costs, and only where applicable law permits. Any retention is limited to your payment and supported by an itemized explanation; it is not an automatic $150 cancellation charge. Merely entering the booking queue or reserving a time does not make the entire payment earned under this policy. If no legally retainable services or costs have arisen, we refund the full payment.

After the consultation service is completed: The consultation charge is ordinarily earned even if you decline the mural quotation. Completion includes the agreed appointment and written quotation/proposed agreement for a sufficiently documented scope, not merely scheduling a call. Refund rights for nonperformance, defective service, breach, and statutory cancellation remain unaffected. If additional information or inspection is needed to quote accurately, we explain this before treating the quotation service as completed.

Mandatory rights and company cancellation: Any legally required full refund takes priority over the deductions above, including where work has begun during a protected cancellation period. If we cannot accept the booking, cancel without a mutually accepted replacement, or cannot provide the agreed consultation for reasons attributable to us, we refund the consultation payment. Duplicate or erroneous charges will be corrected. We initiate refunds within 10 calendar days after cancellation or determination that a refund is owed, or sooner where law requires, and meet any legally required completion deadline. We do not deduct processing fees from a legally required full refund.

5Rescheduling and missed visits

You may reschedule an on-site or remote consultation without a rescheduling penalty by notifying us at least 24 hours before its scheduled start. Use angelartacademyclt@gmail.com or +1 (980) 535-5105. The appointment confirmation states the time zone. Timeliness is measured by when your request reaches the designated contact channel, not when we respond. The new appointment is subject to availability and is confirmed in writing; your retained payment transfers to it.

With less than 24 hours’ notice, a missed call, or failure to provide agreed site access, the full $150 is not automatically forfeited. Any lawful retention follows the documented-services and costs standard in Section 4. Any new appointment or travel charge must be separately disclosed and accepted; no duplicate recovery or automatic second charge is authorized.

You may also send cancellation notices to Artangel LLC, 1312 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Matthews, NC 28105. These contact options do not restrict legally permitted notice methods or timing rules. Statutory cancellation does not require our acknowledgment and is not limited by the 24-hour rescheduling deadline. Weather and safety changes will be addressed promptly and reasonably, preserving refund rights.

6Site consultation, quotation, and project agreement

During the consultation we discuss actual dimensions, design scope, materials, preparation, access equipment, working days and hours, night work where requested, expected duration, client responsibilities, and relevant restrictions. We then provide a written quotation and project agreement for review. Immediate on-site delivery of a completed quotation is not guaranteed unless specifically agreed.

For remote projects, we use the measurements, photographs, video, and other information supplied by you. We can issue an exact written price for a sufficiently documented scope and provide the agreement for electronic signature, subject to applicable signature and notice requirements. If information is insufficient, we request further documentation or a separately agreed inspection rather than present an unsupported price as final. The quote identifies assumptions and exclusions. Once accepted, a fixed price is not subject to an automatic 30% increase; later scope changes or concealed conditions follow Section 10 and the signed agreement. Electronic signing does not remove applicable consumer protections.

The signed agreement establishes the final price or expressly agreed pricing method, scope, design approval process, payment schedule, start and completion arrangements, materials, additional-work procedure, cancellation rights, and warranty terms. No painting begins until that agreement is signed, applicable cancellation requirements have been satisfied, and required payments and approvals are received.

The quotation expires on the date stated in it. If it has expired, request reconfirmation before acceptance. Where the signed agreement expressly addresses a project-specific issue, it controls over these general terms, subject always to mandatory law. These website terms cannot retroactively change a signed agreement.

7Design, artwork, and revisions

For designs selected from our website catalog, the selected design is included in the project price as specified in the quotation. Catalog designs are not exclusive unless the signed agreement expressly says otherwise. Original custom design development is a separately priced service unless expressly included.

Colors, composition, dimensions, and design elements can be customized subject to feasibility, approval, and any quoted design charges. The agreement defines included revisions; unlimited free revisions are not implied. Final design approval is required before painting.

Hand-painted artwork may have reasonable variations in brushwork, texture, and appearance compared with digital previews. Screens, lighting, wall texture, and paint finishes affect color perception. These normal differences do not excuse material departures from the approved design or defective workmanship.

You must have permission to use any logos, photographs, characters, or other artwork you provide. We may decline infringing or unlawful requests. Ownership of the painted surface does not automatically transfer copyrights or reproduction rights. The project agreement will identify the applicable artwork rights, display permissions, exclusivity, and any additional licenses. No blanket waiver of artists’ statutory rights is created by these website terms.

8Site readiness and safe access

You must have the property owner’s authorization for the work and disclose landlord, association, building-management, or other restrictions. The project agreement allocates responsibility for permits, approvals, surface preparation, protection of belongings, access, utilities, ventilation, and equipment.

Tell us about known leaks, moisture, cracks, unstable coatings, lead paint, asbestos, mold, or other hazards. Hazardous-material testing or remediation is not included unless lawfully and expressly agreed. We may pause work if conditions are unsafe or unsuitable and discuss the next steps before resuming.

Clients are not required to provide ladders or scaffolding unless specifically agreed. We will not use equipment that we consider unsafe. Children, pets, customers, and other occupants must be kept clear of the designated work area. We remain responsible for reasonable care in carrying out our work; these provisions do not waive liability imposed by law.

9Scheduling and delays

Website timeframes are general planning information, not guaranteed completion dates. Actual duration depends on scope, preparation, drying times, access, approvals, and working conditions. Any stated minimum, such as four days, is not a promise that every project will be completed within that time.

Specific workdays, hours, deadlines, and any expedited or after-hours charges must be agreed in writing. Weather, unsafe conditions, material disruption, client changes, or delayed access may require a revised schedule. We will notify you promptly and discuss a reasonable adjustment. Termination, payment, and refund consequences are governed by the signed agreement and applicable law; delays do not create an unlimited right to retain unearned payments.

10Additional work and price changes

Changes to the approved design, dimensions, preparation, materials, access, or schedule may affect the project price and duration. We will describe the proposed change and obtain your written approval of its cost and schedule impact before performing additional chargeable work.

The online-estimate variation described in Section 2 does not allow us to increase an agreed contract price unilaterally. If an unexpected condition is discovered and no change is approved, affected work may be paused while the parties decide how to proceed under the project agreement.

11Payments and project cancellation

The website fee is the only payment authorized by the consultation checkout unless another charge is separately disclosed and accepted. Project deposits, progress payments, taxes, final balances, late-payment terms, and permitted cancellation charges are set out in the signed project agreement, subject to applicable law.

Project cancellation may involve payment for authorized work already completed or committed materials, but the calculation and treatment of any unused funds must be specified in the agreement and comply with law. A completed or commissioned mural is not subject to a general change-of-mind merchandise return policy; this does not remove rights relating to defective work, breach, or statutory cancellation.

Please contact us about billing concerns so we can investigate. Nothing in these terms removes lawful card-dispute, chargeback, consumer complaint, or court rights.

12Completion, inspection, and warranties

At completion we arrange a walkthrough or other agreed review. Please identify any concerns so they can be assessed against the approved scope and design. Newly requested design changes are distinct from corrections needed to meet the contract.

We provide the applicable invoice or payment receipt, care instructions, and any written warranty agreed for the project. Warranty duration, coverage, exclusions, claim procedure, and remedy must be specified in the project agreement before work begins. These website terms do not promise an unspecified lifetime warranty or eliminate rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ordinary aging, external moisture, building movement, impact damage, chemicals, and third-party alterations may affect a mural’s appearance and durability. Any warranty exclusions must be stated in the agreement and do not excuse damage or defects for which we are legally responsible. Final payment or a walkthrough does not waive non-waivable rights or automatically extinguish claims for hidden defects.

13Photographs and project publicity

We may document the site and completed work as reasonably necessary to plan, perform, or verify the project and address claims. Public portfolio or marketing use is governed by separate written permission. Booking alone does not authorize publication of your identity, private address, personal belongings, or images of people. Identifiable children will not be included in marketing without appropriate separate authorization.

14Legal rights, disputes, and responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any project-specific allocation or limitation of liability must be clearly stated in the signed agreement and legally enforceable; there is no blanket waiver of responsibility for property damage.

Contact angelartacademyclt@gmail.com with your name, booking or project reference, and a description of the concern. We encourage direct resolution, but this does not require you to miss a legal deadline or prevent a complaint, small-claims filing, or other available legal remedy.

These terms are governed by North Carolina law to the extent legally permitted. Mandatory protections applicable to the client or project location remain effective. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or a class-action waiver. Any venue provision must be set out in the project agreement and comply with law.

15Statutory cancellation and other mandatory protections

Some consumer transactions, including certain agreements made at a client’s home, may carry statutory cancellation rights. Where applicable, we will provide the required notice, forms, and refunds. The words “non-refundable” do not override those rights. Paying a consultation fee online does not automatically eliminate cancellation rights that may apply to a later project agreement.

The applicable period and required disclosures depend on the transaction and jurisdiction; three business days is not a universal rule. We will not begin covered performance during a mandatory cancellation period unless a legally valid exception applies and all required procedures are satisfied. A general request to start promptly is not treated as a blanket waiver. Any required state-specific addendum and cancellation forms will be supplied with the relevant agreement, not replaced by this website summary.

No provision requires you to waive rights that cannot legally be waived, including the right to make lawful, honest reviews.

16Website use and changes to terms

Do not misuse the website, interfere with its security, or copy protected website content without permission or another lawful basis. Third-party sites linked from our website have their own terms and privacy practices.

Updated terms apply prospectively to new bookings from their stated effective date. Existing bookings remain subject to the version accepted at checkout unless a lawful written amendment is agreed. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder applies to the extent permitted by law.
